Welcome to the Joseph Yarnell Online Art Gallery!
Joseph Yarnell was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953, the son of a lithographer. He began painting as a child and his early art hung everywhere, from relatives’ homes to his high school hallways. His interest in birds and wildlife developed during family camping trips, and his knowledge deepened by participating in Boy Scouts through the Eagle Scout level. Naturalism is his passion and Joseph finds education and inspiration outdoors, on location, where he sits and observes, take pictures and notes for reference material. His work is received enthusiastically from art shows to galleries across the United States. He has won numerous awards, and his work is in the collection of private individuals, corporations and galleries. His career as an artist was interrupted for two years when he was discovered to have Non-Hodgkin’s B-Cell Lymphoma in 1995. With a strong faith in God, and the success of a stem cell transplant, Joseph has successfully fought for his life and his art.
Here at the Joseph Yarnell online art gallery we sell original paintings and reproductions. Our reproductions are museum quality, made using a Giclee printing process and are printed on archival paper and canvas.
